Update about FBUK season start date

Ongoing negotiations between MLB and the Players Association over the new Collective Bargaining Agreement will delay the start of the coming MLB season and, as a result, the start of the 2022 Fantasy Baseball UK game too.

Last season’s two free draft league formats return plus this year there is a third option offering a recreation of the original FBUK salary cap format. Sofa so good as BILKO commands attention – end-of-season round-up

The 2021 Fantasy Baseball UK game reached its conclusion on the night of 3 October and after the welcome return of a full six-month season of baseball, both the main and Limited Trade Game championship races went down to the final round of MLB games on Sunday, as did several of the divisional competitions.

I spy… a change at the top

As we head into the final month of the 2021 fantasy baseball season, we have been monitoring some changes at the top end of the FBUK standings, with Secret Agents and The Sofa Boys taking over first place in the main and Limited Trade games respectively. With the end of the season in sight – on 3 October – there are likely to be more twists and turns before the game is up!

Trading places

Although there is no trade deadline in Fantasy Baseball UK there has been a recent flurry of trade attempts as fantasy teams towards the top of the main game standings that have already reached the Innings Pitched (IP) limit look to trade their best pitchers for valued position players that could boost their batting line-up.

Take it to the limit

The Major League Baseball season has hit the break for the All-Star Game on 13 July, marking roughly the mid-point of the season and of the Fantasy Baseball UK game too. This year, it may well be a game of two halves as a number of the fantasy teams at the top of the main game standings appear to have employed a strategy to maximise pitching points in the first half of the season but it will see them hit their innings pitched limit early.
