Website development list

We’ll use this thread to track technical updates or fixes made to the overall FBUK website (rather than specifically to the format of the fantasy baseball game itself, which are dealt with in the Dugout forum).

If you spot any issues or have any suggestions for developments to the site, please add a reply to the thread below.

To start with, for 2021 season:

1. Created a couple of new FBUK logos to replace the old ones used on the website, email newsletter and social media channels.
2. Built a new user account/login system in the main menu, mainly for use with the new FBUK Forums. That replaces the old user accounts and forums that were on Geof’s original FBUK site, which has been mothballed.
3. Some minor changes made to the email newsletter design so hopefully it displays more consistently in the various different email clients and apps people use.
4. Added a page under the Standings dropdown menu to hold the archived standings from 2020. Unfortunately, full standings from before then are unavailable as they were held on the discontinued old FBUK site, plus they seemed to get wiped and reset each season anyway. Summaries of standings from 2016 onwards can be found in the News section.

5. Added the option to set up two-factor authentication to log in to Forums user account for added security. This is done via the ‘Edit Profile’ page of a user’s Forums profile.
