The coming season of Fantasy Baseball UK is set to be the biggest since it relaunched in 2020. In total, 147 managers registered and around 240 teams are entered across the various league formats, marking highs in overall participation numbers.

There are again five different types of competition on offer. The head-to-head leagues, which debuted last year, return to compliment the standard and limited trade draft leagues and the two flavours of salary cap league. Both the FBUK League (standard draft league) and FBUK LTD (limited trade league) look set to be at their largest since 2020, while the other three formats retain similar numbers of teams to last year.

Invitation / team renewal emails for each league were sent out in the week beginning 10 March to the email addresses managers included on their registration forms. If you are returning to the same league as last season, you should automatically see your renewed team and league when you log into your Yahoo account (or Fantrax account for the salary cap leagues).

If you are a new manager or joining a league you weren’t in last year, you will need to use the invitation link included in the email. If you haven’t yet joined, please check your inbox and junk/spam folder for emails from Fantasy Baseball UK. If in doubt, please get in touch via the Contact Us page.

In the Yahoo leagues, managers need to use their invitations links to join ASAP so we can finalise things before the drafts. Teams cannot be added once the league is finalised for the draft.

Draft dates:

  • FBUK LTD (Limited Trade): Friday 21 March, 7pm GMT / UTC
  • FBUK League: Saturday 22 March, 7pm GMT / UTC
  • Head-to-Head League: Sunday 23 March, 7pm GMT / UTC

No draft is required in the salary cap leagues run through Fantrax, but managers should make sure they have built their initial roster before the fantasy season starts on Opening Day, Thursday 27 March.

Once the season is underway, the Standings section on the FBUK website will have a summary of all the daily league standings collected in one place. In the case of the FBUK League (standard draft game), FBUK LTD (limited trade game) and FBUK Classic (salary cap league) you will be able to view the combined standings for each of the overall championships, as well as the individual divisions.

More info and support

The Rules and Info and Help pages on the FBUK website include details of how each league works. There are also Forums on the FBUK website which is where you can contribute to the conversation on how the game is run, ask technical questions and chat with other managers.

Important reminder for Fantrax users

For managers participating in the FBUK Classic or $6m Game salary cap leagues run via the Fantrax platform:

This has been noted in various places but a reminder before the season starts to please take a moment to read this important explainer on the FBUK website to avoid using Fantrax’s Player Picker tool, so as to prevent the points glitches suffered last season.

Touch base

Finally, if you don’t already, you might consider subscribing to our main mailing list which is the primary method of getting news and updates out to FBUK members through the year (besides the website itself). You can also follow FBUK on various social media channels via the icon links at the top and bottom of this website.
